Budget flights to Bulgaria
Posted: Thu 18 May, 2006
Wizzair, the low cost central and eastern European airline, which operates from Luton airport has announced a new route for visitors to Bulgaria. Direct flights operate three days a week from Luton to Bourgas on the black sea coast, ideal for visitors to the popular Sunny Beach resort, with a transfer time of approximately 25 minutes. Fares start from as little as £14,99 each way (plus taxes and charges) helping to make Bulgaria more accessible to thousands of travellers.
The airline has modern new aircraft, primarily the Airbus A320, and helpful multi-lingual staff. Chief executive officer at Wizzair, Jozsef Varadi said “We are happy to have started the low fare revolution in Bulgaria and are now offering more routes and low fares to those wishing to visit this beautiful country. We are strengthening our market leadership in the low cost airline sector in Bulgaria.”
A total of 1.9 million passengers travelled with the airline in 2005 and there is a 50% increase in the number of seats available for summer 2006. Flights can easily be booked on-line at www.wizzair.com
Flights from Luton to Sofia operate four days a week and now fly direct rather than via Budapest, making the journey much easier and quicker. Prices also start at £14.99 + taxes and charges.
This could be the start of the low fare revolution for Bulgaria, as the country becomes more popular and visitor numbers increase. Good news for investors in Bulgaria’s growing property market.
